Recently, the National Energy Administration announced the 3rd batch list of the first unit(set) of major technical equipment (projects) in the energy field. The complete technology and key equipment for ammonia-doped combustion in coal-fired power plants of Anbang Technology Co., Ltd., which was jointly established by the Institute of Energy, Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center and the Anhui Province Energy Group Company Limited, was successfully selected.
The complete technology and key equipment for ammonia-doped combustion in coal-fired power plants is a significant achievement of joint independent research and development under the collaborative establishment of Anhui Energy Collaborative Innovation Center and Anbang Technology Co., Ltd. by the Institute of Energy, Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center and the Anhui Province Energy Group Company Limited. It includes “three core equipment items” of ammonia burner, ammonia evaporator and plasma ammonia cracker, and “three sets of control systems” of long-distance ammonification control system, integrated plasma burner control system and on-line detection system for furnace temperature field and gas composition. At present, with this set of technology and equipment, the stable operation with 10-35% ammonia content in 300MW coal-fired units under multi-working load conditions has been realized in Tongling Branch of Anhui Province Energy Group Company Limited, taking the lead in making a major breakthrough in the key technology of the engineering application of large-scale coal-fired power units with large proportion ammonia-doped combustion, reaching the international advanced and domestic leading level.
The successful selection into the first unit(set) list brings strong policy support for the popularization and application of ammonia-doped combustion technology.
