On April 24, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement between Hefei Institute of Physical Science of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Anhui University of Science & Technology was held in Science Island. At the same time, the Institute of Energy of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center signed a cooperation agreement with Anhui University of Science & Technology to jointly build the Institute of Advanced Research of Anhui University of Science & Technology (Hefei).

Song Yuntao (vice president of Hefei Institute of Physical Science and Sun Yuntao (executive president of Institute of Energy) presided over the ceremony.

Academician Li Jiangang (president of the Institute of Energy of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center) and Yuan Liang (president of Anhui University of Science & Technology) signed a coooperation agreement on behalf of the two sides to jointly build the Institute of Advanced Research of Anhui University of Science & Technology (Hefei). According to the agreement, the two sides will give full play to their respective advantages in resources, technology, talents, capital and management to realize complementary advantages, mutual benefit and win-win and integrated development. The two sides will commit to promoting scientific and technological innovation in the energy industry to provide scientific and technological support for energy security development, green revolution and smart development transformation，strengthen high-end talent training, collaborative innovation and scientific research, seize the commanding height of innovation and lead the new development of the industry.

Liu Jianguo (president of Hefei Institute of Physical Science) and Yuan Liang(president of Anhui University of Science & Technology) signed a strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both sides. According to the agreement, the two sides will follow the principle of "resource sharing and open research", carry out cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, achievement transformation, personnel training, personnel building, platform building, international cooperation and exchanges, and resource sharing, strive to promote scientific and technological innovation and progress in the energy industry, and provide scientific and technological support for the safe development, green development and intelligent development transformation of China's energy industry.

Liu Jianguo, president of Hefei Institute of Physical Science, said in his speech that the Hefei Institute of Physical Science and Anhui University of Science & Technology had established a profound friendship in work and practice for a long time. He expected that both sides could take the establishment of the Institute of Energy of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center as an opportunity to strengthen the exchange of young talents, build an innovation community of colleges and universities, and explore a new model of industry-university-research-application cooperation, thus making due contributions to the construction of beautiful modern Anhui themed with Five Development and the construction of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center. Da Yiwu, deputy secretary of the Party committee of the Institute of Energy of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center, member of the Party group of Anhui Development and Reform Commission and chief engineer, expected that Anhui University of Science & Technology would give full play to the integration advantage of multiplying effect to build an interdisciplinary and cross-field collaborative innovation community, thus making it truly become an important platform and carrier for scientific and technological innovation of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center.

Guo Yongcun, Secretary of the Party Committee of  Anhui University of Science & Technology, said that the signing of the new agreement marked a new stage of cooperation between Hefei Institute of Physical Science and Anhui University of Science & Technology. He also hoped to take this as a new starting point to turn the cooperation into a "new highland" for personnel training, a "new engine" for integrated development and a "new model" for joint efforts and shared benefits.

Huang Chenguang, secretary of the party committee of Hefei Institute of Physical Science, expressed the hope that the two sides will further deepen the content of cooperation and create a new situation of openness, sharing, mutual benefit and win-win in the process of joint construction with common goals and value orientation, higher position and more comprehensive deployment.

Academician Yuan Liang, president of Anhui University of Science & Technology, said that in the next step,they would performed according to the agreement, innovate the talent training mode with the project as the link, and create a new highland for high-level talent training in the energy field, build a good platform for cooperation between the two sides and promote the development of first-class comprehensive scientific research institutions and high-level universities of science and engineering with characteristics of both sides.

Academician Li Jiangang, president of the Institute of Energy of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center, said that the research in the energy field was a long-range program. He hoped that more outstanding talents that are urgently needed could be cultivated for Anhui and the country through the cooperation between the two sides.

At the ceremony, Hefei Institute of Physical Science donated books to Anhui University of Science & Technology. Cheng Yan (vice president of Hefei Institute of Physical Science ) and Meng Xiangrui (vice president of Anhui University of Science & Technology) signed the donation agreement on behalf of both sides.
