On the morning of January 4, the inauguration and signing ceremony of the Microwave Tera Hertz Collaborative Innovation Center (Wuhu) of the Institute of Energy of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center was held. Li Jiangang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of the Institute of Energy of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center, Ningbo, vice secretary of Wuhu Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, and He Zhaochang, director of Anhui Huadong Polytechnic Institute, witnessed the signing of the contract and inaugurated the Collaborative Innovation Center. Wang Zhipeng, secretary general of Wuhu Municipal Government, Song Yuntao, executive president of the Institute of Energy, Hu Haomin, vice president, Liu Fukun, executive deputy director of Plasma Research Institute, etc. attended the meeting.

By making full use of the advantages of the Institute of Energy of Hefei Comprehensive National Science Center in physical theory research, platform construction, introduction and training of scientific researchers and the experience of Anhui Huadong Polytechnic Institute in microwave vacuum electronic production process and research and development, the Microwave Tera Hertz Collaborative Innovation Center will work with them to carry out research on key microwave Tera Hertz core device technologies, engineering applications, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, industrialization, etc. The main research interests include the development and application of terahertz devices based on electronics, the development and engineering application of high-power terahertz gyrotron, and the development of high-power klystron.
