报告人简介:Francesco Porcelli 教授

Prof. Francesco Porcelli (PhD, Italy) is a Theoretical Plasma Physicist and a Full Professor at the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy, since 1994. He started his professional career in 1985 as a postdoc at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambdrige, MA, USA). From 1987 to 1994 he was a EURATOM staff scientist in the Analytic Theory Group of the Joint European Torus (JET) Laboratory (Culham, UK). He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Elsevier journal Fundamental Plasma Physics.

He is best known for his theoretical model of the fishbone instability and for fast particle stabilization of MHD modes in tokamaks. He is the author of a well-known model for sawtooth oscillations. He also contributed to the topic of magnetic reconnection in weakly collisional and collisionless fusion plasmas. He is now working on the theory of axisymmetric modes in tokamaks. 

He was the Leader of the Nonlinear MHD Group within the European Integrated Tokamak Modelling Task Force, and visiting professors in several fusion research centers, including the Joint ITER Work Site in San Diego, USA, the Institute for Fusion Studies of the University of Texas at Austin, USA, the Swiss Plasma Center, the French CEA Fusion Department in Cadarache. He is currently an International Visiting Professor at USTC. 


弗朗西斯科·波尔切利教授(意大利,博士学位)是一位理论等离子体物理学家,自 1994 年起担任意大利都灵理工大学正教授。1985 年,他在麻省理工学院(美国马萨诸塞州剑桥市)担任博士后,开启了职业生涯。1987 年至 1994 年,他在欧洲联合环(JET)实验室(英国卡勒姆)的解析理论小组担任欧洲原子能共同体的科学家。目前,他是爱思唯尔期刊《基础等离子体物理学》的主编。 

他最为人所知的是他的鱼骨不稳定性理论模型以及托卡马克中快粒子对磁流体动力学模式的稳定作用。他是著名的锯齿波振荡模型的作者。他还对弱碰撞和无碰撞聚变等离子体中的磁场重联做出了突出贡献。现在,他正在研究托卡马克中的轴对称模式理论。 

他是欧洲联合托卡马克建模工作组内的非线性磁流体动力学小组负责人,并在多个聚变研究中心担任客座教授,包括美国圣地亚哥的国际热核聚变实验堆联合工作小组、德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校的聚变研究所以及瑞士等离子体中心、法国CEA聚变部分。目前,他是中国科学技术大学的国际客座教授。
