7月21日 Compact Torus Injection for Central Fueling of Fusion Reactors
Current fueling technologies relying on gas admission and pellet injection is unable to directly fuel the center of fusion reactors. Compact torus (CT) injection has been recognized as the only promising techniques for this purpose. In this talk, principles of CT formation and acceleration will be introduced. Requirements and challenges for CT fueling will be discussed. Some experimental results from the University of Saskatchewan Compact Torus Injector experiments will be presented.
