题目：Compact Torus Injection for Central Fueling of Fusion Reactors

　　摘要：Current fueling technologies relying on gas admission and pellet injection is unable to directly fuel the center of fusion reactors. Compact torus (CT) injection has been recognized as the only promising techniques for this purpose. In this talk, principles of CT formation and acceleration will be introduced. Requirements and challenges for CT fueling will be discussed. Some experimental results from the University of Saskatchewan Compact Torus Injector experiments will be presented.

　　报告人简介：Chijin Xiao is a professor in the Department of Physics and Engineering Physics, University of Saskatchewan, Canada. He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the University of Science and Technology of China, and the Ph.D. degree from the Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany. He is currently a member of the executive committee of the Fusion Energy Council of Canada. His research topics include confinement studies on the STOR-M tokamak, CT injection experiments, and  other aspects of Plasma Physics and Engineering.
