On the afternoon of February 14, Khalid Al Marzooqi, Vice President of KEZAD of UAE AD Ports Group(Abu Dhabi Port Authority), led a team to the Institute of Energy for investigation and cooperation. Accompanied by Academician Li Jiangang, President of the Institute, the research team visited the Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak(EAST), the cryogenic experimental platform and Comprehensive Research Facility for Fusion Technology(CRAFT) park. Subsequently, Academician Li Jiangang presided over a cooperation exchange meeting to introduce the research progress of the Institute in hydrogen liquefaction technology, as well as the product and market development of Zhongke Qingneng Company jointly established by Institute of Energy and China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN). The representative of KEZAD Free Trade Zone introduced the Group’s profile, park policy and investment attraction, and the two sides had in-depth exchanges and discussions on international cooperation and reached a preliminary intention.

Vice President Khalid Al Marzooqi hoped that the Institute of Energy would cooperate with KEZAD Free Trade Zone in the development of hydrogen energy industry and provide technical support for the energy transformation in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Academician Li Jiangang expressed his support for the cooperative enterprises of Institute of Energy to deepen international cooperation with KEZAD Free Trade Zone, hoping to take this opportunity to speed up the process of technology R&D and expand the development space. Hu Haomin, Vice President of Institute of Energy, heads of relevant departments and general manager of Zhongke Qingneng accompanied the investigation.
