8月24日，合肥综合性国家科学中心能源研究院组建实施方案论证会暨合肥综合性国家科学中心专家咨询委员会（能源领域）咨询会议在合肥中国科学院等离子体物理研究所举行。16位中国工程院院士、中国科学院院士等专家参加会议，会议由中国工程院李建刚院士主持。安徽理工大学校长、中国工程院院士袁亮出席会议并作“煤炭清洁高效利用”方向的实施方案报告。省委常委、常务副省长邓向阳出席会议，省市有关部门及中国科学院合肥物质科学研究院、中国科学技术大学、合肥工业大学、安徽理工大学等筹建单位主要负责人参加了会议。
